This is a non-age statement whiskey, as we’re using three year grain whiskey blended with much older single malt. In this limited edition bottling, we’re using a 15 year old malt in an 85/15 ratio. A standard three year old whiskey is perfectly drinkable, but by adding a more mature element we have created a different mouthfeel with a much longer finish.

Most of the spirits people consume today are produced from grains, as they contain high levels of easily converted sugars. St Patrick’s has instead chosen potato as the alcohol base for their vodka and gins because of its unique natural sweetness, and its amazing versatility.
As potato has just 20% available dry starch matter, this makes the process much more expensive, but more than compensates for the extra time and effort with its unique taste, aroma and smoother mouth-feel.
